 What’s Involved?
 
1.      If you’re ready to become a PADI Instructor, enrol in the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC).
 
2.      During the Instructor development Course with Exmouth Dive & Whalesharks Ningaloo, you’ll build upon your skills as a divemaster or certified assistant whist also developing your leadership, public speaking, and teaching skills. You will also hone your in-water skills to demonstration-ready levels, and learn how to properly evaluate in-water skills performed by student divers.
 
3.      Upon successful completion of the IDC, you’ll attend a PADI Instructor Examination conducted by PADI Regional Headquarters staff. This is the final step towards earning your PADI Instructor certification. The Instructor Examination is unique to PADI and ensures all new PADI Instructors are prepared for real world teaching prior to certification.
 
4.      Once certified as a PADI Dive Instructor, our commitment to your success doesn’t end with the course. We offer team-teaching where you’ll be able to gain real-life experience teaching your first courses under the guidance of our instructors.

What prerequisites are required to enrol in the PADI IDC?
 
To enrol in an Instructor Development Course, you will need to meet the following requirements: 
 
·         Be a minimum of 18 years old
·         Have been a certified diver for at least six months
·         Be certified  as a PADI Divemaster, or hold an equivalent certification 

          from another recognized certification agency.
·         Have completed a  First Aid course with CPR in the last 24 months 

          with a recognized authority
·         Have at least 100 logged scuba dives.
     
You must be cleared as medically fit to dive by a physician within 12 months and prior to your course starting. Please
ensure you complete and have this signed by a doctor before the start of your course.
